What it's actually like to work here: what you get, what you're backed with, and how to turn your own idea into one of our companies.
The same standard across every company in the group. Exact terms depend on your contract and where you're based.
Emergency legal fund
Life occasionally needs a lawyer. The fund covers legal fees for any matter other than criminal defence, so you are not choosing between getting proper advice and paying for it. Eligibility is set by your employment contract, so it is not offered on every agreement — check yours or ask HR.
Health cover
Medical, dental and vision, with the option to add family.
Flexible time off
Take what you need, with a minimum we expect everyone to actually use.
Remote-first
Work where you work best. We coordinate across time zones rather than fight them.
Equipment and learning budget
The machine and tools you need, plus courses, books and conferences relevant to your work.
Employee fund
Employees can hold a stake in the group through the employee fund, not just a salary.
Move between companies
Work across the group. Moving between teams is encouraged, not a last resort.
The Projects Program
Moonlit grows by building, not only by buying. If you have an idea that could become a product or a company, you can pitch it through the Projects Program. If we back it, we put up the funding, help you build it, and you keep a share of what you build.
01
Pitch it
Write up what you want to build, who it's for and what you'd need to get it off the ground. No deck required.
02
We review it together
We work through the idea with you, agree what it needs, and set the funding and ownership terms in writing before anything starts.
03
Build it with the group behind you
You get the funding plus the shared departments — engineering, design, legal, HR and finance — instead of building all of that from scratch.
04
You own part of it
The project becomes part of the portfolio and you hold a share of it, recorded the same way as every other ownership split we publish.
And if it doesn't work?
Then it doesn't work. The funding is ours to lose, not a debt you carry, and a project that fails is not held against you or your role here. Most things worth building don't land first time.
