# Typeblock Terms of Service
October 31, 2026
## 1. About these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Aryan Wadhera ("Typeblock", "we", "us"). They cover the Typeblock iPhone app, the Typeblock website and related services (together, the "Service").
Typeblock is built by an employee of The Moonlit Company and operated with the support of The Moonlit Company, which provides the legal, financial and operational foundation for the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and is part of these Terms.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
## 2. Who can use Typeblock
You must be at least 13 years old (or older if your country requires it for digital services) and able to form a binding agreement. If you use Typeblock for an organization, you confirm you have authority to accept these Terms for it.
## 3. Your account
- Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us right away if you think someone else has accessed it.
- One person per account. Do not share or resell access.
## 4. Plans, subscriptions and payment
- Typeblock offers a Free plan and paid plans, currently Plus and Pro. Features and prices are shown in the app and on our website and may change for future billing periods. Local App Store pricing and taxes may vary.
- Paid plans are bought through the Apple App Store using your Apple account. Apple handles payment and billing, and Apple's terms apply to purchases.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Manage or cancel in your Apple account settings. Deleting the app or your Typeblock account does not cancel an Apple subscription.
- Free trials, if offered, convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. Except where the law requires otherwise, we do not give refunds for partly used periods.
- We may occasionally give a plan to an account at no charge ("comped"). We can end a complimentary plan, and the account then returns to Free.
## 5. Your content
- You own your content: your notes, tasks, images, memory and anything you send to Typeblock. We do not own it and we do not claim rights in it beyond this section.
- You give us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, sync, process, display and transmit your content only as needed to provide and secure the Service for you, including sending it to the providers described in our Privacy Policy to run AI features you use.
- You are responsible for your content and for having the right to use it, including content from emails you forward to your Typeblock address.
- Please keep your own backups of anything important.
## 6. AI features
- Typeblock AI can summarize, plan, organize, rewrite and draft. It may be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Check anything important before you rely on it.
- AI is not professional advice. Do not use it as a substitute for medical, legal, financial or other professional advice.
- AI changes follow your approval setting, are recorded, and can be undone. You are responsible for approving changes and for what you send, post or act on.
- We apply fair-use limits to AI and voice features to keep the Service reliable and affordable. If you reach a limit, features may pause or fall back to a simpler model until it resets.
- We do not use your content to train AI models. See the Privacy Policy.
## 7. Connected AI apps and third-party services
You can connect third-party AI apps (such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Cursor) to your notes using MCP. When you do, that app can read and, depending on the tool, change your notes. Those apps are not ours, their own terms and privacy practices apply to what they do, and you are responsible for the connections you create. You can review activity and revoke any connection in the app at any time. The Service also relies on third parties such as Apple, our hosting provider and AI model providers, and we are not responsible for their services.
## 8. Email to Typeblock
If your plan includes it, you get a private address. Only forward email you are allowed to share, do not use the address to send spam or unlawful content, and keep the address private. If it leaks, replace it in the app and the old one stops working. Typeblock AI reads the emails you send to it as described in the Privacy Policy.
## 9. Acceptable use
Do not:
- break the law, or infringe or violate anyone's rights;
- upload malware or try to gain unauthorized access to the Service, accounts or systems;
- probe, scrape, overload or disrupt the Service, or bypass limits or security;
- reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it;
- use the Service to create content that is unlawful, abusive, harassing, or that sexually exploits or endangers anyone;
- use AI features to cause serious harm to people, or to build a competing AI product from our outputs.
We can warn, limit or suspend accounts that break these rules.
## 10. Our rights
Typeblock, including the app, design, brand, the Typeblock name and logo, and the code, belongs to us and our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, under these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms. The Moonlit Company name and logo belong to The Moonlit Company. Feedback you give us may be used without obligation to you.
## 11. Changes and availability
We may update the Service, add or remove features, and change these Terms. If a change is important we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the change. We aim for a dependable service but do not promise it will always be available or error free. We may pause it for maintenance or when something is outside our control.
## 12. Ending your account
You can stop using Typeblock and delete your account in the app at any time. We can suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering the Service (we will give notice where we reasonably can). When an account ends, section 5 stops applying to your content and we delete it as described in the Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as 10, 13, 14, 15 and 16) will.
## 13. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that AI output will be accurate or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error free. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.
## 14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we and our officers, employees, suppliers and licensors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim and US$50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
## 15. Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, you will defend and cover us against claims, losses and costs arising from your content or your breach of these Terms or the law.
## 16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Califonia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the courts of Orange County, unless the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim where you live. Please contact us first at Aryan@moonlit.company so we can try to fix the problem informally.
## 17. Apple terms
These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, maintenance or support, and has no warranty obligation for it. Apple is not responsible for claims relating to the app, such as product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims. If the app fails to conform to a warranty, you may tell Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price of the app; to the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm you are not in a country subject to a US embargo or on a US restricted-party list.
## 18. General
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If a part is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce something, that is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights; we may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
