## 1. Who we are

Typeblock is a notes, planning and AI app for iPhone. It is built by an employee of The Moonlit Company and operated with the support of The Moonlit Company, which provides the legal, financial and operational foundation for the app.

In this policy, "Typeblock", "we", "us" and "our" mean Aryan Wadhera. We are the controller of the personal information described here.

## 2. The short version

- Your notes are yours. We do not sell your information, show ads, or track you across other apps or websites.

- We do not use your notes, memory or emails to train AI models.

- Locked notes are never sent to AI.

- AI only reads your content to answer you or do something you asked for.

- You can export your data and delete your account from inside the app.

## 3. What we collect

### Information you give us

- Account details: your email address and a password (stored only as a hash), or your Apple account identifier if you use Sign in with Apple. If you choose to share your name or email with Apple, we receive what Apple shares, which may be a private relay address.

- Setup answers: your first name, the hours you plan your day in, and answers you give while setting up the app.

- Your content: notes, folders, tasks, images, templates, and the "memory" file Typeblock AI uses to remember how you work. Typeblock also keeps earlier versions of your notes and a record of changes made by AI.

- Messages to Typeblock AI: what you type or say to it, and the replies.

- Feedback you submit in the app, and anything you send to our support address.

### Information from your device (with your permission)

- Calendar and reminders: if you allow access, Typeblock reads your events on your device so it can plan around them and avoid conflicts. Event titles and times stay on your device and are sent to AI only when you ask it to plan.

- Microphone and speech: when you record a voice note or dictate, the audio is sent for transcription (see section 6). We do not keep the audio.

- Notifications: used to remind you of tasks and notes.

- Photos: only images you choose to add to a note.

### Information from emails sent to your Typeblock address (Pro)

Pro accounts get a private address. When an email arrives we store the sender, the subject, the message text (up to a size limit), what Typeblock AI made from it (a summary, tasks, calendar events and a note), and the time it arrived. This can include personal information about the people who wrote to you. Please only forward email you have the right to share.

### Information about subscriptions

Purchases are handled by Apple. We receive the product, the plan's status and expiry date, and Apple's transaction identifiers so we can confirm your plan. We never receive your card or payment details.

### Information about AI apps you connect

If you connect AI apps such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Cursor over MCP, we store the connection keys you create and a log of what each connected app did (which tool, a short summary, and when) so you can review it in the app.

### Technical information

Our hosting provider processes standard connection data such as IP address and request logs to deliver and secure the service. We keep counters of how many AI requests an account makes so we can enforce fair-use limits. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising or tracking tools in the app.

## 4. How we use information

- To run the app: sign you in, store and sync your notes, show your plan, and send you account messages such as sign-in codes and plan notices.

- To provide AI features: answer your questions, plan your day, organize notes, group notes by topic, process voice notes and incoming email.

- To keep Typeblock safe and working: prevent abuse, enforce fair-use limits, fix problems and improve reliability.

- To meet legal obligations and protect our rights.

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on providing the service you asked for (contract), our legitimate interests in running and securing it, your consent where you grant a permission, and legal obligations.

## 5. How AI works with your content

- Typeblock AI reads your memory, notes, tasks and calendar context only to answer a request you make or run an automation you have turned on.

- Locked notes are never sent to AI, and connected AI apps cannot change them.

- When AI changes something, it follows the approval setting you chose (for example, ask first), keeps a record, and you can undo it.

- Your content is not used to train AI models.

- Each AI request sends only what is needed for that request.

- AI can be wrong. See the Terms of Service.

## 6. Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run Typeblock, and only as needed:

- Convex: backend hosting, database and authentication.

- OpenRouter and the AI model providers it routes to: to generate AI replies, summaries and plans.

- Groq: to transcribe voice recordings.

- Resend: to receive emails sent to your Typeblock address and to send account emails.

- Apple: Sign in with Apple, the App Store and subscriptions, and on-device calendar access.

We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect people or our rights, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets (we would tell you first if your information would be governed by a different policy).

## 7. How long we keep information

- Notes and content stay until you delete them. Deleted notes stay in Recently Deleted for 30 days and are then removed.

- Version history and AI change history are kept with the note and removed when the note is removed.

- Emails sent to your address are kept until you delete the note or your account.

- Voice audio is not kept by us.

- When you delete your account, we delete your notes, versions, images, email records, connection keys, plan and account records from our systems. Copies in backups are removed on the normal backup cycle. We may keep limited records where the law requires it, such as proof of purchase.

## 8. Your choices and rights

- Export: Settings, Your data, lets you see and download what we store for your notes. We send a one-time code to your email first.

- Delete: Settings, Account, Delete account removes your account and data.

- Control AI: choose whether AI asks first, turn automations off, lock notes, and revoke any connected AI app at any time.

- Permissions: you can turn off calendar, microphone, photos and notification access in iOS Settings.

Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, the UK, California and other US states), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your information, to object to or restrict certain uses, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority. We do not discriminate against people who exercise these rights. To use a right we cannot offer in the app, email Aryan@moonlit.company.

## 9. Security

We use encryption in transit, store passwords only as hashes, limit who can access production systems, and give you tools such as locked notes and connection revocation. No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account is at risk, change your password and email us.

## 10. Children

Typeblock is not for children under 13 (or under 16 where that is the local age of digital consent). We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

## 11. International transfers

We and our providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

## 12. Changes to this policy

If we make important changes we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect, and update the date above.
